"Let's
make God happy"!
St. Andrew's
Mission Statement, adopted <DATE>
Three elements of a good mission
statement as defined by Paula Schneider:
-A mission statement should be no longer
than a single sentence.
-It should be easily understood by a
twelve-year-old.
-It can be recited by memory even under
stress.
Also, a good mission statement is
inspiring, exciting, clear, true, and engaging.
The importance of a mission statement is summarized more eloquently by
Lewis Caroll through the words of the Cheshire Cat in Alice in
Wonderland, "If you don't know where you're going, it doesn't matter
which way you go." Indeed!
The
above considerations led us to adopt "Lets make God happy," as
our mission statement. Striving
to make God happy gives us a firm foundation on which to advance both
our personal lives and community for the greater glory of God's kingdom.
Come join us in making God happy! |
